Community Based Care Program Officer

The Cambodian HIV/AIDS Education and Care (CHEC) is a local non-governmental organization that works to fight HIV/AIDS and Gender Based Violence and help improve the quality of life of vulnerable people including people living with HIV and AIDS in the communities in Cambodia. Currently, CHEC is seeking applications from Cambodian candidates for the position of Community Based Care Program Officer. This is a full time position, based in Phnom Penh. The selected candidate will work at CHEC office with frequently travel to the target provinces.
- Maintain working relationships with Health Centers, Referral Hospitals, Health Service Coordinators, Peer Educators, CBC Team Leaders, Village Leaders and Pagodas.

Skills and Qualifications required
A degree in medicine, health, education, or other relevant degree or experience At least 2 years experience in managing a Home Based Care Project, or similar Health Project Skills in all aspects of project management – planning, development, implementation, monitoring and evaluation Interpersonal skills and proven experience in teamwork and building partnerships A compassionate, non-discriminatory and non-judgmental attitude toward People Living With HIV/AIDS Research skills are desirable
Other duties relevant to the Community Based Care/OVC Programme
Attend CHEC staff meetings and other organizational requirements.
Build contacts with Operational Districts of the project areas, in conjunction with the Programme Coordinator and Director.
Organize a monthly meeting of all CBC/OVC Teams and carers for mutual support, training, feedback, recognition and shared problem solving.
Provide support to PLHIV and OVCs in the self help support groups and saving schemes.
Ensure the implementation of the quarterly monitoring reports, and evaluations.
Organize the Baseline Survey, Mid-term survey and other researches.
Supervise and provide mentoring and coaching to the field staff;
Run the training workshops with the support from the CBC teams. The training will update on HIV/AIDS treatment and care knowledge as well as introduce CBC principles. Also discussion of and decisions for the referral networks between Health Centers, Referral Hospitals and CBC teams.
